Disaster Tourism

As a keynote speaker at a journalism conference, I’ve called out disaster tourism directly. Communities are not content. Trauma is not marketing material. I have refused to build sustainability models based on selling user data or exploiting crisis narratives. We fund creatively. We build differently. Not because it is easy, but because it is right.
